CameraIn George Orwell’s famous novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, a primary feature of the totalitarian government is that every citizen is under continuous observation. Over the past couple years I’ve read about how various parts of the United Kingdom have gone all-out with video surveillance cameras. The linked video shows how pervasive it is. Oh, and you get to see a neat, 8-foot tall alien.

Unbelievable Wiffle Ball Pitching

BaseballI don’t know who this guy is, but he can do seemingly impossible things with a Wiffle ball. The video includes footage of a real game, and I feel sorry for the players on the other team—there’s just no way to hit the pitches.

eBay Continues To Alienate Its Core User Base, Part 2

eBayeBay angering its sellers is not a new topic here at Chad’s News. This time it’s trying to institute a PayPal-only policy. I think the online auction business is ripe for some newcomer to replace eBay as the best auction site—much in the way that Google came out of nowhere to overshadow Yahoo!, Alta Vista, Lycos, and other search engines.
