Habeas Corpus And The US Constitution
January 25th, 2007With a few exceptions, I try not to use Chad’s News as an editorial platform. But this statement by Attorney General Alberto Gonzales absolutely astounded me. It is wrong, wrong, wrong. (And keep in mind that I voted for this administration.)

Mr. Gonzales would not have done very well on the logic portion of the GRE. By stating that the right of Habeas Corpus can be taken away only in certain situations, without putting strictures on who has the right initially, implicitly says that everyone has the right.
